This Privacy Policy describes how BornTall LLC ("BornTall," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with First Light Word, an SMS-based spiritual guidance service ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

• Phone number — collected when you first text the Service. This is your primary identifier.
• Message content — the text messages you send to the Service and the responses generated.
• Usage data — message counts, plan tier, opt-in status, and timestamps.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers.
• Timezone — inferred or provided, used to deliver messages at the appropriate local time.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it in a message.

§ How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver the Service — generating and sending responses to your messages
• Send scheduled daily broadcasts (Verse of the Day, Song of the Day, Devotional) to opted-in users
• Process one-time credit pack purchases and Church / Group billing through Stripe
• Track credit balances and enforce usage limits based on your credit pack
• Improve the quality of the Service over time
• Comply with legal obligations

§ How We Store Your Information

Your phone number, message history, and account data are stored in a secure database provided by Supabase, Inc. Message history is retained to provide conversational context — the Service references prior exchanges to deliver more relevant responses. You may request deletion of your message history at any time by texting STOP or contacting us directly.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

§ Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only with the following third-party service providers, solely as necessary to operate the Service:

• Twilio Inc. — SMS delivery and phone number management
• Anthropic PBC — AI language model for response generation
• Supabase, Inc. — database and backend infrastructure
• OpenAI, LLC — text embedding for scripture search
• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing

Each provider is subject to their own privacy policy and data practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

§ SMS Messaging & TCPA Compliance

By texting the Service, you consent to receive SMS messages from First Light Word, including automated messages and marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your plan and opt-in preferences.

To opt out of all messages at any time, reply STOP. To get help, reply HELP. For support, contact us at the address below.

We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA messaging guidelines.

§ Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

§ Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data by texting STOP or contacting us directly
• Opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP
